Tackling a Challenging Metrolink Track Repair
This ambitious project required the removal, repair, and reinstallation of over 1,000 feet of track panels across two weekends. The roadbed beneath the tracks had been compromised by excessive moisture, requiring extensive work to ensure a solid and durable foundation. Herzog led the repair process, removing ballast and subgrade before installing perforated pipe, a new base, and asphalt to stabilize the area. Once the groundwork was complete, the track panels were reinstalled with precision and care. To make this complex project as efficient as possible, Joshua Grading rented several excavators from our fleet at Savala Equipment Rentals. With our conveniently located facility just a few miles from the job site in Irvine, we were able to provide the heavy equipment they needed on time and without hassle.
